I feel like many plus size guys and gals, I have been self-conscious
about my arms. People tend to get bigger in the arms, stomach, thighs areas and
this is also usually where rolls and stretch marks appear. I’m not ashamed of the stretch marks
on my stomach, or my thighs, like I have no problem if people can see them at
all. But my arms have always been in point of err for me. And I'm not sure as to why. I prefer all of my
short sleeve shirts to drop down to just above my elbow, and I pretty much
always wear a jacket over anything sleeveless or spaghetti strap. I get the “aren’t
you hot” question all summer long and yes, I’m still not taking this off so
please stop asking me. Recently I have been testing my tolerance and wearing
sleeveless outfits more to see if the world would actually end if people saw my
upper arms and back. (I wore a this dress to a dance at my University and spoiler: the world didn't end. )
So, this top, not like me at all. It’s so bright, like
super bright orange. I’m not going to lie but I was a
little bit scared when I ordered it. But while I am in this quest to figure out what my Summer style is I thought I would try something new. (bare with me there will probably be a lot of new things, in the coming months) It's in a size 18 so it's roomy like pretty
much everything is on me right now. I thought
the very up and down rectangle shape of the top wouldn’t be flatter on me at
all, but it turns out where the neckline cuts across is perfect. I am quite big
busted, (40 DDD/E) and I feel like unlike most tank tops this one didn’t make my breasts
look 4X their actual size. I also love how big the straps are because they completely
covered my bra straps. (these straps are THICC big bust probs)
On this day I set up a picnic for me and my friend in
a park nearby. It was 87 degrees, so we found a huge beautiful tree to sitting
under and have bugs crawl all over us. It was a beautiful day, I can honestly
say I felt great in this outfit. I am wearing my distressed mom jeans for ASOS, since
losing weight I have to wear a belt with all of my pants and I like what it
adds to this outfit. And to finish the
look off I slide my feet into my well loved cross strap white Steve Madden slide
sandals and my popped new gold and black cat eye sunglasses, also from ASOS.
With this outfit I did a couple of things that I never
thought I would. But I felt cute and I wasn’t dying in the heat underneath a jacket.
So I urge all of you whether it be your
arms or your legs, or your stomach, show it off! This summer is “All Pudge, No Judge” and if
someone says anything to you, at least you have full range of motion to lift
both your middle fingers up and let them where to stick it.
