Hello ! or should I say Goodbye?
This is post is going to be a mix of a bunch of things. It's my ' Bye baby, be safe' to Summer (imagine I am standing on a porch like your grandmother waving as Summer drives away) and what I am excited about for the Fall (excitement? In this economy? I know). I have a ton of ideas swirling in my right now for content I hoping to make *fingers crossed* this upcoming season. I love the Fall and I think I'm going need to be extra extra creative to keep my juices flowing throughout this pandemic. Now to honor this Summer.
Now we all can agree that we had Plans for this Summer. Trips to take, concerts to turn up at, brunches, happy hours all types of shit. While none of that happened (RIP every single cancelled concert and festival) I tried to make the best of this summer as I could. There should have been way more Lewks this summer. We take this moment and this look to mourn and say goodbye to what could have been. *daps chest twice, kiss, peace sign to heaven* This outfit is like way kinda out there for me. Super bright, super light and summery. And I absolutely Adore it.
This orangey-yellow color looks amazing against my skin. I love how deep and dark it makes my skin and hair. This is the top to a bathing suit cover-up, it comes with a matching skirt which I will be whipping out next Summer for certain. Paired with my white striped trousers; which I will definitely be wearing into the Fall and probably Winter if I can get away with it, this look is it bright and light and fresh. This outfit like most bright colored things is out there for me but Summer decided to splash out one last time, so I had to honor his efforts.
This Summer I definitely couldn't see my friends as much as I wanted to but that meant when we could get together we spent literally all day damn together. I am forever grateful for that. I ain't have but shit to do all day so why not shower my friends with my time and attention. I love the outdoors, so I got to spend way more times in parks than I probably ever would have if it hadn't been a pandemic. We lookin on the bright side y'all. Like most of 2020 this Summer really taught me to value and enjoy what I have in the moment that I have it.
Onto what I am feeling for the upcoming season. Now the Pandemic is NOT over. But I know in order to like keep my mental health in tack as it gets darker and colder I am going to have to start getting dressed dressed every day again. So I've done some looking online for inspiration and Boy did it hit me. I came across a GQ best-dressed street style article and I was like Woah. If you know me, you know I am obsessed with menswear, I love a good trousers and loafer combo like no other. 2020 has taught me that..... ain't nothing really matters so like Why not? So before I've been afraid to go really really masculine with my style and I think that may change this Fall/Winter, cause like Why Not? What is there to lose? So I think this is the year I take the plunge and I buy a suit (I have already seen the one I want and listen, it's Beautiful).
